ABOUT ME
A freelance editor based in New York, I spent over a decade as an acquiring editor at Penguin Random House, working on key titles for Knopf, Doubleday, Pantheon, Vintage and Anchor Books. Prior to that, I was on the editorial team at The Book of the Month Club, where I evaluated hundreds of titles for club inclusion.
In 2016, I made the decision to carve out more time for doing what I've always loved best: sitting down with an author's manuscript and collaborating with him or her to figure out what's working and what could be working better.
Books I've edited have appeared on the bestseller lists of The New York Times, USA Today, and ABA IndieBound; have been reviewed by The Washington Post, People, and Entertainment Weekly; and have been listed among the best books of the year by The Boston Globe and Goodreads.
I've also worked with hundreds of authors to tailor their books for the paperback market, selecting quotes, collaborating on new cover directions, and often working to develop new introductions, afterwords, and reading group guides. Writers I've worked with in this capacity include Emily St. John Mandel, Chris Bohjalian, Anne Rice, Kate Alcott, Diane Rehm, Peter Heller, J. Courtney Sullivan, Joby Warrick, Kevin Kwan, Ariel Lawhon, Meg Mitchell Moore, and Erin Morgenstern.
